Waikiki Post Office offering Tax Day late collections

The U.S. Postal Service announced it will offer late mail collection from specially marked collection boxes on federal Tax Day, Monday, April 18.

This year, taxpayers will have an extra weekend to file.

According to the USPS, collection boxes and/or lobby drop slots will be labeled with a bright orange sign indicating "Tax Mail Drop - Final Pick-Up Midnight."

Twenty-seven post offices statewide are offering the late collection, including the Waikiki Post Office.

Tax forms with the correct postage deposited in those designated boxes and slots by midnight will receive April 18 postmarks.
