Lance Wilhelm To Join Irongate As Managing Principal

Will represent developer in Hawaii

HONOLULU – Irongate, the developer of Trump International Hotel & Tower at Waikiki Beach Walk and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach, announced today that Lance Wilhelm will soon be joining its team as Managing Principal to oversee current and future development projects in Hawaii and to represent Irongate in the state.

Wilhelm is currently Senior Vice President for Hawaii Operations at Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. and the chairman of the Kamehameha Schools Board of Trustees. He is expected to leave Kiewit later this month and start work at Irongate shortly after. His position on the Kamehameha Schools Board of Trustees will not be affected.

First Insurance Company Of Hawaii Upgraded To A+ Rating By Standard & Poor’s

HONOLULU – Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services (S&P) today raised its long-term counterparty credit and financial strength ratings for First Insurance Company of Hawaii (FICOH) to A+ from A-. FICOH is now the only Hawaii-based carrier with an S&P rating of A+.

FICOH, which has been operating in Hawaii since 1911, also holds an A+ rating from A.M. Best Co. and has been on the Ward’s 50 group of top-performing property and casualty (P&C) insurance companies in the United States for six consecutive years.

“We are proud FICOH is seen as strategically important to our parent company Tokio Marine,” said Jeff Shonka, FICOH CEO and president. “Our A+ rating is an indication of our financial security and ability to serve the entire spectrum of accounts in the Hawaii market, from small to very large.”

Girl Scouts of Hawaii (GSH) has selected longtime Hawaii business leader, Shari Chang, as chief executive officer. Chang, a 30-year veteran of hospitality marketing, began her new position October 23, 2014.

“Shari is a highly recognized marketer in Hawaii, instrumental in the vision and creative development driving numerous high-profile and award-winning marketing campaigns,” said Lori Lum, GSH board chair. “Her community involvement both as a volunteer and a professional will be a big asset for Girl Scouts of Hawaii.”

McDonald’s® Restaurants Of Hawaii Hires Reimi Donlin As Human Resources Consultant

HONOLULU – McDonald’s® Restaurants of Hawaii has hired Reimi Donlin as a human resources consultant. In her new position, Donlin is responsible for auditing and consulting McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii’s operational leadership on human resources practices on employee benefits and compensation.  Donlin comes to McDonald’s after gaining experience in a variety of positions. Most recently, she served as a legal secretary at the firm of Torkildson, Katz, Moore, Hetherington & Harris. Previously she worked first as a compensation specialist and then, after promotion, as compensation analyst at First Hawaiian Bank.

“We are delighted to have Reimi join the McDonald’s team,” said Paulette Wage, human resources manager at McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii. “Her background in human resources and compensation will be valuable.”
