HONOLULU – Irongate, developer of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach, held a groundbreaking ceremony and site blessing today at the future site of the second tower of The Residences, a 37-floor, 246-residence property that is connected to the first tower by an eighth floor resort terrace with parking structure below. Mayor Kirk Caldwell joined community leaders, selected homeowners and representatives of the project’s development and construction teams to celebrate the occasion and the ongoing effort to revitalize and bring new life to Kuhio Avenue at the gateway to Waikiki.

Pacxa Promotes Gordon Bruce to Chairman, Kelly Ueoka to President Amid Fast-Paced Growth

Pacxa, Hawaii’s largest full-scale information technology (IT) solutions provider, today announced the promotions of two senior executives.  Gordon Bruce has been named Pacxa’s new chairman, and will remain chief executive officer. Kelly J. Ueoka, formerly executive vice president, will assume the role of president from Bruce, overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations and the expansion of Pacxa’s products and services. Bruce and Ueoka were instrumental in guiding the company’s revenue growth of over 200 percent since late 2012. Pacxa has grown from 70 employees to more than 90 since its inception. 

“I am excited to continue my work with Kelly and the Pacxa team to provide creative, cost-effective solutions to small businesses as well as large enterprises,” Bruce said. “By supplying the best technology support services in the state, we can also continue to offer the highest level technology jobs and keep talented students here in Hawaii.”

HONOLULU – Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii is conducting an extensive outreach campaign in more than 20 cities throughout North America over the next two weeks to promote leisure and business travel to the Islands and the distinct experiences offered at each of its 11 resorts across Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii Island.

This is the second consecutive year that Starwood Hawaii has undertaken a coordinated effort of this size and scope, with more than 100 associates, including general managers and representatives from Starwood’s sales, marketing, meetings, public relations and revenue teams.

HONOLULU – servco.com – Servco Pacific Inc. (Servco) today announced that it has hired Liz Cawrey as Assistant Director of Internal Audit.

In this position, Liz will assist with Servco’s internal audit risk assessment and planning process.

Previously a Manager with Deloitte in both Brisbane, Australia and Honolulu, Liz has served a variety of clients in a multitude of industries. She was also Internal Auditor for American Savings Bank.

 

Liz earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting Information Systems from Michigan State University and is certified as a public accountant, internal auditor and information systems auditor.

 

An avid paddler, Liz enjoys traveling internationally and visiting mainland relatives. She is a resident of Kailua.
